Whitening
If you desire to have your teeth become a few shades whiter to brighten your smile, then you may be a candidate for teeth whitening. Our office will make you custom whitening trays to fit your teeth. We will provide you with special gel that is placed in the trays to whiten your smile.
Tooth-Coloured Fillings
In our office, we use tooth-colored fillings, since they are very esthetic, and we can match the shade of your filling to the shade of your tooth. When the dentist finds cavities in your teeth, the cavities will be removed and the now-missing tooth structure will be replaced with the tooth-colored composite filling material. Under normal wear-and-tear, these restorations are very durable and can last a very long time if treated properly.
Dental Crowns
If a tooth has a very large filling, has had a root canal, or fractures, then you may need a crown to protect and add strength to your tooth. Your tooth is prepared so that a crown can be made to fit over it. Your crown will be fabricated by a dental laboratory to custom fit your tooth in about two weeks. A temporary crown will be made for you at the time of your 1st appointment, you will wear this temporary until the lab has completed your crown.
Interceptive Orthodontics
This is a branch of dentistry that treats malocclusion, a condition in which the teeth are not correctly positioned when the mouth is closed. This results in an improper bite. Braces can correct open bites, over bite, under bites, and cross bites. They can also correct cosmetic issues unrelated to occlusion, such as slightly overlapped, gapped, or twisted teeth. Dr. Bencak provides complimentary Orthodontic consultations.
Bridges
A fixed dental bridge is done when you have one or more missing teeth it is used to fill in the space. It extends across the area that has no teeth and is made up of an artificial tooth fused between 2 crowns. The bridge is fabricated in a dental laboratory and can be ready for placement within 2 weeks’ time.
Extractions / Wisdom Tooth Removal
You may require extractions for a number of reasons, including severe tooth decay, advanced periodontal disease, and broken teeth that can’t be repaired.

Third molars are commonly referred to as wisdom teeth. They are usually the last teeth to develop and are located in the back of your mouth, behind your second molars. The development is usually completed between the middle teenage years and early twenties. Nitrous Oxide can be used during this procedure to add comfort, pain management and ease anxiety.

Root Canal Therapy
When a tooth structures has been compromised either due to decay, trauma, or other factors, the internal soft tissues can become jeopardized by the bacteria present in the mouth. If this tissue, known as the pulp, is infected, patients can experience temperature sensitivity, pressure sensitivity, and prolonged discomfort.

Root canal therapy involves removing the infected tissues from the tooth. Once this tissue is removed, a filling is placed deep inside the tooth, preventing any new bacteria from re-entering that tooth. A crown may be recommended at this point to further protect the tooth and provide stability.

Dentures
Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are a removable dental prosthesis that is used to replace one or more missing teeth but not all of the natural teeth. It may be made of all plastic or a combination of metal and plastic. A partial denture is a replacement method used when the surrounding natural teeth and gums are not strong enough to support a bridge.

Complete Dentures

Complete Dentures are a removable dental prosthesis that replaces all of the natural teeth in the upper or lower arch.

Laser
Laser gum treatment is great. Dr. Bencak has incorporated dental lasers into everyday procedures – reducing bleeding, anxiety and post-treatment recovery times. The beauty of dental lasers is that they damage far less of the surrounding tissue than traditional techniques – which means less discomfort and pain.

Here are some of the other benefits associated with laser dentistry:

• Faster healing and tissue regeneration.
• Preservation of more of the natural tooth.
• Reduced bleeding during and after treatment.
• Reduced need for anesthesia.
• Reduced need for stitches and sutures.
• Reduced risk of bacterial infections after procedures.

Emergency Visits
If you are experiencing pain, you may need to visit our office for an emergency examination. During your appointment, we will focus on your area of pain/discomfort and try to treat the problem if time permits. Since we understand the serious nature of dental discomfort, we will try our best to work your emergency into our schedule for same-day appointments.
